"I really just need to know what is in this cupboard? I can't quite get it open, yet. I wonder if there is anything to eat in there! I am getting hungry. Could you just open it, please?"

Week of Feb.25th

This week Riley has been hanging out with mom. Dad is on a road trip so he has been getting a TON of mommy time. Yesterday, Riley got a new set of wooden blocks and seems to enjoy dumping them out of a container and playing with them. Today we spent a lot of the day outside, as it is 80 degrees and sunny. We went to the park and relaxed on a blanket. Riley has taken interest in watching all the big cars go by, so we sat on the hill and watched cars. He seemed very interested in them. We are off to the coffee shop to meet some girlfriends for coffee, then on to the airport to pick up daddy!

"Shaking my booty!"

"Hey guys! I am getting pretty big these days! I like to dance and shake my booty. I also like to try and let go of the couch and walk all by myself. Check out my moves!!!!"

Standing up now...

"Hey guys! Just thought I would let everyone know that I stand up now, so I am pretty big. Sometimes I fall but then I just stand up again. Mom and Dad want me to crawl but I'm NOT crawling-instead I'm going to walk!"

Huntington Beach

Yesterday, Riley, dad, and I went to our pool. Riley used his new boat he got. He seemed to enjoy just relaxing and doing some heavy kicks. Riley then layed out to dry off, he is working on his baby abs!
Last night we took Riley to Huntington Beach in Orange County. It was a little chilly but really pretty. We ate dinner at Duke's one of my favorite restaurants. Dukes is right on the beach, right next to the pier. The ocean was really rough, the waves were huge. It was only about 50 degrees and windy so we didn't go in! Riley seemed to like the atmosphere at Dukes and he enjoyed his french fries that he kept stealing from our plates. On the ride home, we got stuck in major California traffic and it took us about 2 hours to get home. Riley was exhausted when we got home.

I just figured out how to video record Riley from my digital camera! It is a work in progress, but during this scene I was trying to talk Riley into crawling. He gets himself in position and then just falls on his face and rolls over! He might just have a little stubborness in him!
